T&T Materials is proud to share that our CEO, James Terhune Sr., recently participated as a featured industry speaker at a high-level Defense & Industry Roundtable hosted by the Monroe County – Upstate NY APEX Accelerator.
The event welcomed senior leadership from the Department of War Office of Industrial Base Growth (DoW IBG), including James Mismash, Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Growth and Director of OSBP, and Khalil Mack, Deputy Director of the Office of Industrial Base Growth. They were joined by Congressman Joe Morelle (NY-25), Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, Chief Economic Development Officer Ana Liss, and leaders from across the defense manufacturing sector.
As an invited speaker, James Terhune Sr. joined fellow industry leaders in discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the nation's defense industrial base. The roundtable provided manufacturers and suppliers with a unique opportunity to engage directly with federal leadership, highlighting the critical role that Upstate New York companies play in strengthening America's defense supply chain.
The event also showcased the success of Circle Optics, Inc., demonstrating how regional innovation—supported by the APEX Accelerator—continues to deliver advanced technologies that support our nation's warfighters. Attendees also toured L3Harris Technologies, highlighting the strength of Upstate New York's defense manufacturing ecosystem and its network of world-class prime contractors and suppliers.
