On Monday August 4, 2025, the Monroe County Finger Lakes APEX Accelerator hosted an event at the headquarters of Rochester Optical Manufacturing to announce that they have expanded and rebranded.
The event welcomed senior leadership from the Department of War Office of Industrial Base Growth (DoW IBG), including James Mismash, Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Growth and Director of OSBP, and Khalil Mack, Deputy Director of the Office of Industrial Base Growth. They were joined by Congressman Joe Morelle (NY-25), Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, Chief Economic Development Officer Ana Liss, and leaders from across the defense manufacturing sector.
